(19-02-22) General Updates

Not much to report today. I’m in a bit of a funk – probably a combination of being sick and confined to the bedroom for the past several days, as well as exhaustion from only sleeping 3-3.5 hours last night. I did actually leave my room today to take a walk and eat one meal. I also had my second round of electromagnetic vaccine today, and the doctors kept the magnets on my body for two hours this time instead of one. I’m anticipating a more harsh reaction in a few days because of this. I’m just hoping I clear that hurdle before my cousin gets here on Tuesday.

On a more positive note, I got invited to a quincinera celebration tomorrow night…so I guess I’ll be partying it up in Tijuana this weekend a little!

  1. Love you. Miss you so much. Melissa is very very excited to beable to come and visit you. I’m very happy for her. Am I jealous? No. Why? Because there’s not enough room in my thoughts my head or life for jealousy. You have taught me so many things lately and that is just one of them. And you go sweet daughter of mine and party yourself crazy in Tijuana. Love Mom

  3. Im good with sitting around. Used to do it with dad all the time. Just sit and visit for days. Ill just to be happy to be there.

  4. @crystallanning – In many South American countries, it’s a “coming of age” celebration when a girl turns 15. It’s kind of like our version of “Sweet 16” but waaaay more elaborate – with princess dresses, waltz performances and other coordinated dances, rituals involving candles, and a party as big as a wedding reception or Bar Mitzvah.

  5. @crystallanning – Yes, Nurse Blanca invited me, and I am so looking forward to this! Aside from my morning walks and trips to the swap meet, I haven’t done anything in the last five weeks. I need a temporary change of scenery…and a little libation!

  6. Im up for exploring any day you feel up to it. Also, I will be completely content just taking morning walks or just playing with the kitty on low energy days. I do need to bring the kid back something cool and maybe some dollars.

  7. @Melissa Cotter – Full disclosure: Either Tuesday or Wednesday is going to be fraught with side effects from yesterday’s magnet vaccine, so we’ll need at least one downtime day. Luckily, the weather will be high 60’s, so you can lounge by the pool while I’m rolling around in bed crying. But the other days? Let’s do it!
